| Los
Angeles Music Week, Incorporated is a non-profit 501(c)3,
community
based
outreach
program, now in its fourteenth
year
of service. Each year during the first two weeks of December, Los
Angeles Music Week honors the various contributions of local landmark
artists of all genres and works exhaustively to provide equitable
access to music education for children. LAMW shares the history
of
music
in Los Angeles with children
and event attendees, noting the part this city plays in shaping music
internationally.
L.A. Music Week is an instrument of unity, building bridges to the
diverse
citizenry while enhancing local tourism. All contents are Los
Angeles Music Week' exclusive intellectual property. Permission must be
obtained for use of these contents. LOS ANGELES MUSIC WEEK 2007 HONOREE, Rev. Reginald H. Jones Rev. Reginald H. Jones was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Rev. Jones accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 5 years old. At this early age until this present time, he was and is known to be fervent in prayer. Pastor Jones has studied and received his Bachelor of Theology Degree and ARA (Philosophy and Soteriology) from International Reform University (Missouri and California). Other higher instructions of learning that he has attended included: ∑ Harris Stowe Institute Scholarship in Music ∑ Lindenwood College, Missouri (Communications) ∑ St. Louis University (Philosophy) In 1975, Rev. Jones entered into the ministry and received his Local and District Fellowship license in 1976. He was ordained in July, 1980 under the auspices of the late Bishop P.L. Scott, D.D (Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.) Rev. Jones was joined in Holy Matrimony to his lovely wife, Evelyn Joyce Burk-Jones on August 2, 1970. They are the proud parents of three wonderful daughters Ta'Mara, Shana, Ingla and one fine son Kaaylan. Rev. Jones and his family relocated to the city of Los Angeles in September of 1985 where he continued to work in Evangelism and Marriage Counseling. Rev. Jones has worked extensively on a volunteer basis with community and educational organizations where has served as a member of the Economic Justice Committee for A.G.E.N.D.A. and two terms as President of Mid-City Alternate Schools Governing Council. Rev. Jones co-founded with his wife a community food bank. He has received various and numerous awards and commendations. Pastor Jones has performed in vocal music for the past 40 years and professional for the past 24 years. On June 29, 1997, Rev. Jones was elected as pastor of Upper Room Christian Church, where he was installed by the honorable Bishop Charles E. Blake, Pastor of the West Angeles Cathedral. Most recently, he was appointed Director of Clergy for The Mili Group Inc. and a Church site Facilitator and Advocate for the "No Child Left Behind" faith-based Educational program. For the past eight years the basis of his teaching has included a strong emphasis on: Divine Purpose, the Power of Prayer, the Power of Praise and Worship, the mandate of Fellowship and the blessings in Tithing. A humble shepherd, leader and man of God, Rev. Reginald H. Jones continues to trust the Lord as his Master Shepherd and Savior. |
